Hiring a pressure cleaner to take care of your outdoor surfaces can save you time and a whole lot of effort. Pressure cleaning is so effective due to the intense water pressure which literally blasts debris and dirt from your exterior surfaces. Cleaning outside has never been easier and when you hire a professional pressure cleaning service with the right tools and equipment you’ll be amazed at the results.
The great thing about pressure cleaning outside areas is the surfaces outdoors are generally hard surfaces and won’t incur damage from the pressure of the water. Surfaces that are great for pressure washing are concrete driveways or walls, rendered walls, limestone walls or pavers, brick paving, fences made from wood, colourbond, brick or aluminium and more. These areas if cleaned using DIY tools such as scrubbing brushes and cleaning supplies from home don’t achieve the same results that pressure washing can deliver, not to mention the intense labour required to achieve sub-par results. Outdoor areas can often be overlooked. When they are neglected many people avoid using their outdoor space. For people living in Australia we are lucky to have great summers to spend outdoors with friends and family. Restoring these areas can open up a whole new entertaining space for you and your family to use in the summer months. Exterior cleaning is not only great for opening up your entertaining space, but it also rids your home of nasty pests, germs and harsh mould. Lichen and moss can also accumulate throughout outdoor areas especially in the cooler months. Moss and lichen can have a huge negative impact on your surfaces and products if it builds up. Getting rid of moss and lichen can increase the overall life of your products and prevent ongoing build up. Moulds can spread throughout the outside of your home and can be harmful to you, your family and your pets. Pressure washing safely removes mould so that you can feel safe outside your home. So, consider professional pressure washing services when the time comes to restore your homes exterior. No job is too big or too small for pressure cleaners and business locations can also benefit from professional pressure washing services.

Many homeowners don't understand the important role that guttering plays in protecting your home. Most of us either buy or build a home and are supplied with guttering, and we think nothing more about it. We know that gutters serve some sort of purpose, but we don't really understand how they work.
Rain gutters catch the water which drains from the roof and directs it into the downpipes which are those aluminium pipes which are attached to most sides of your home. Underneath those pipes will be a storm drain pipe which stops the water from puddling and effectively drains the water away. This system is in place for a number of reasons. If water isn't able to drain from your roof it would very quickly erode the roofing material causing extensive damage not only to the roof but to the structural features of your home such as the walls. Over time the erosion would worsen causing leaking and even structural failure, yikes! Now, if you do have a guttering system which collects the water from the roof and directs it away from the roof you are preventing those issues. So, let's say that there are no downpipes to collect the water from the guttering and direct it into the drains. Without downpipes or 'down spouts' we are essentially collecting the rainwater in the guttering and letting it run down the side of the house. When water continues to run along the side of your house in large amounts this weakens the integrity of the walls. Depending on the materials used to construct your home this could be devastating for the structure. If you have a home which is built primarily out of wood you can expect that the wood will start to degrade and basically start rotting. Wood rot is catastrophic in structural buildings as it can be hard to replace without compromising the entire building. So, we know that we need gutters to keep the water away from the roof and we know that we need downpipes to collect the water and direct it away from the house, now, what about those little drains that collect the water? These drains are usually connected to your storm water drains. They take the water from the downpipes and direct it into your drainage system and away from the base of your home. If water collects at the base of your home over long periods of time what types of issues can we expect? You guessed it, structural issues. Not only will the water hollow out the sand or soil which sits adjacent to your home, it will also cause the side of the home to erode faster than it should. Soil erosion will also occur which will destroy your garden beds and drown your plants and flowers which is a very sad thing for the avid gardener. Now that we properly understand the importance of an effective guttering system, ensure you take care when it comes to the ones surrounding your home. Have them checked and cleaned frequently to avoid clogging of the system and extensive damage to your home. It's not something that any homeowner ever wants to think about... replacing an entire roof, but for some people it is a reality. Years of neglect and a huge build up of contaminants on a roof of any kind is not an ideal situation and in some cases will require costly repairs or even a full replacement. This isn't always the case and sometimes you might just catch it in time, and your new roof cleaner is going to have a huge job on their hands. The fact is that it can cost upwards of $10,000 to replace the roof of a home and you will likely need to find somewhere for you and your family to stay for a few nights while your home is roofless. It isn't surprising that the cost of replacing a roof is so high given the huge amount of manpower involved. Generally the repair company will hire a crane or equivalent to do the heavy lifting, then there is the ridge capping, mortar replacement and a full replacement of materials. So say you catch a roof issue in time and you don't require a full replacement, instead just repairs. Depending the issue you've got yourself you could be looking at the same cost as a full replacement just in repair costs. Common problems caused by lack of maintenance are:
As we don't often take note of what our roof looks like because we rarely take a visit up to the roof, it is still something that we should be doing every year or so. If you can see your roof quite comfortably from the ground you should be able to see if there is any noticeable contamination. Look for things like moss, lichen, mould or spots of discolouration. These are telltale signs that you need to call in a professional. Not all contaminants can be seen and can be building up underneath the tiles, so if you're seeking out regularly yearly maintenance your roofing specialist will be able to check for any hidden nasties for you.
Don't let a $100 job turn into a $10,000 job. Make the call and get yourself some professional advice. It’s been a controversial topic of discussion for some time now and plenty of research has been contributed by scientists and economists all over the world. So, is there any real benefit to regularly cleaning your solar panels?
Based on recent studies performed by Google at their solar farm in California it was shown that solar panels that were in operation for a period of 15 months without cleaning vs after being cleaned showed a whopping 50% increase in their electricity output. This figure is genuinely higher than even we believed. The study showed that rain is not satisfactory in washing away fallen debris and contaminants found on the panels and that even after rain the panels still failed to produce their highest output and lost 12% in electricity production. Studies also found that using a hose to clean panels either on the roof or from the ground left a residue on the panels which is caused by hard water. The hard water leaves a residue once dried which actually blocks more light than dust and can actually make the problem worse. Solar panels should only be cleaned using de-iodised water and a solution to prevent streaking and residue. Unbeknownst to most solar panel owners, they are actually required to have their panels cleaned on a regular basis to honour their warranty. If a fault or problem is found with the panels and they haven’t been cleaned based on the requirements of their warranty they could jeopardise their ability to have the panels replaced by their manufacturer. You can check with the manufacturer of your system by contacting them directly or checking the information provided to you following the purchase of your panels. So there you have it. Solar panel cleaning is a big tick and will effectively:
